Opening Day and Cherry Blossoms

Despite the frigid temperatures in the nation's capitol right now, one of my favorite springtime events is taking place... The National Cherry Blossom Festival! I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and believe it or not, we had our own fabulous festival each year. While it was nowhere near as grand and as this one, it was breathtaking nonetheless.

So, since today is also opening day for the Washington Nationals, I thought it would be fun to share pictures from one of our 2010 weddings that combined the two signs of spring. Sharon and Greg's couture wedding at the Lexus President's Club at Nationals Park was absolutely stunning. They had very chic Vera Wang invites and subtle hints of cherry blossom throughout the wedding. Jenni Green of Studio Diana shot these beautiful pictures. A Chic Affair DC A Great Success

Avant Garde Event Boutique had such a great time at A Chic Affair DC last week! The celebrity panel was entertaining and the food was delish! The Historical Society was a perfect venue complimented by some very stylish brides. It was fun sharing ideas, offering our expertise and making connections.
